Subscription business models

Choosing the right type for your business

Today, it’s important that you have a subscriptions package that meets your business’ needs.

Subscription models offer more flexibility and scalability than our perpetual licenses. And to assist you further, we are pleased to offer two different subscription models – Named User Subscriptions and Dynamic Subscriptions for ArtiosCAD, ArtPro+, DeskPack, Dynamic Content
and Studio.

Named User Subscriptions is our traditional licensing model that manages licenses per named user on that account. Whereas Dynamic Subscriptions manages licenses across teams and groups on that account.

Dynamic Subscriptions offer more benefits as a cloud-based licensing model for on-premise applications by simplifying global management and distribution of licenses across all sites

The benefits of Dynamic Subscriptions:

  • Allow for efficient and flexible license usage and monitoring globally
  • Drastically reduce the need for license administration by IT or prepress managers
  • Remove the need for cumbersome, time consuming and costly license transfers

Enable:

  • Occasional usage
  • Working in shifts
  • Distribution across regions (follow-the-sun)

Understanding the difference:

Named User Subscription

  • Is a license that is linked to a user (EskoID) instead of to a computer
  • User can sign in from anywhere on any computer
  • One license is assigned to one user but can be reassigned to another user online by a license administrator

NEW

Dynamic Subscription

  • A pool of licenses can be assigned to a group of users from any location
  • Users sign in from anywhere as long as a license is available for them to use
  • Licenses ‘float’ within the group – operating dynamically, so that they are used or freed up following the user action to open an application or to quit it
  • Licenses and EskoID groups are managed online via a state-of-the-art online portal that helps administrators to manage, distribute and monitor their software assets
