Esko brings synergy to Future Print 2019 with integrated software and hardware solutions – Packaging Connected

Future Print logoEsko, a global provider of integrated hardware and software solutions for leading packaging, labels and wide format printers, will showcase how it is bringing synergy to the entire printing process at Future Print 2019, São Paulo, 10-13 July.

Recognizing that packaging, sign and display producers today require more flexibility, efficiency and accuracy in operations, Esko will present its new Kongsberg C Edge upgradable digital cutting table, released only this year, together with state-of-the-art software packages ArtiosCAD, Studio, Automation Engine and i-cut Suite.

Leonardo Cruz, General Manager, Latin America stated: “These latest launches and software developments we are presenting at Future Print demonstrate our commitment to innovation in hardware and software, enabling our customers to unlock long term production flexibility and profitability. We’re inviting attendees to join us for interactive sessions where we will demonstrate and explain just how our software works in total synergy both with each other and with our Kongsberg cutting tables.”

The new upgradable Kongsberg C Edge delivers high speed production capability of up to 75m/min at an acceleration of 1G, designed to keep up with the demands of today’s wide format digital print market. The table is complemented with a range of customizable fittings, including a conveyor feed system, a new Fast Tool Adapter to reduce downtime and maximize performance, a heavy-duty unit for high quality corrugated crease lines, and the CorruSpeed tool, a non-oscillating device for high quality cutting even at high production speeds.

Esko will also be taking the opportunity to shine the spotlight on its integrated software solutions at the São Paulo event, such as Automation Engine, the workflow solution which automates prepress tasks, helps speed up the process and reduce the error rate as well as the need for operator intervention.

“We’ll also be demonstrating Esko ArtiosCAD,” said Leonardo. “With dedicated tools for structural design, product development, virtual prototyping and manufacturing, ArtiosCAD is the world’s most popular CAD software for packaging design. Then there’s i-cut Suite, a collection of pre-production software targeted specifically at users of large format digital printers or digital finishing systems which all bottlenecks in your workflow. From preflighting PDF files, preparing graphics and creating layouts to printing and finishing in perfect registration, i-cut Suite streamlines every step of the way.”

The Esko booth will also feature demonstrations showing how its Studio software is a fast and easy way to turn ideas into beautiful 3D images. “Put simply, Studio will help you produce better artwork,” said Leonardo. “Whether you are a designer trying out different ideas, or a prepress operator checking a back-match, with Studio you are virtually holding the pack in your hands.”

All of the software packages seamlessly integrate with one another to streamline the prepress process, improving speed, performance and error reduction.

Leonardo added: “At Esko, we believe in connecting from design to finish to boost our customers’ productivity and efficiency. At Future Print, we look forward to using the opportunity to demonstrate our latest hardware innovations backed by our comprehensive portfolio of software solutions. Visitors to our booth will experience first-hand how Esko is investing in innovation for their success.”
