And the pace is growing. In 2025, Kendal King completed 149 display projects. By August 2026, the company had already completed 140 projects for the year.
For Kendal King’s two structural designers, that growing workload makes quick, reliable access to project files especially important. But the team’s existing approach to file storage had become an inefficient part of the daily workflow.
The Challenge
Kendal King’s structural design team relied on an external hard drive in the building to store and access ArtiosCAD files. While this provided a central location for projects, it created challenges for two designers who both needed reliable access to the same files.
Saving and retrieving files could be time-consuming, and the external hard drive could not be accessed remotely. That became particularly limiting because both designers regularly travel to different fulfillment locations.

The Results
The benefits extend beyond easier file access. With project files available in the cloud, Kendall King’s designers can collaborate more easily, respond faster to customer requests and revisions, and continue working while traveling between fulfillment locations.
The team has also eliminated much of the time previously spent dealing with saving and retrieving projects from its external hard drive. Kendall King estimates the improved workflow saves around 30 minutes per day when accessing and saving project files.
Remote access has proved even more valuable than initially expected, giving the designers fast and easy access to the files they need wherever they are.
Remote file access while traveling has been even faster and easier than I anticipated.
