Shanghai (China), March, 16 – On March, 1 Esko Greater China has opened its brand new offices and demo center in Shanghai.
The event started at the Sky Fortune Hotel, close to the Esko offices. There were about 180+ guests, including prospects, customers, media and University professors, who attended to see our presentations and live demo of a challenging demonstration job “The Dragon Box”. This gift contains a special gift (thermal flask) in an Esko designed box, called the “Dragon Box”. The live demo showed the creation of the Dragon Box from concept to design to the actual short run production, all within the workflow of Esko, containing various software and hardware tools.
The opening ribbon was cut by Mr. Chris Miller, Esko's Vice-President for Greater China, in presence of, Mr. Tan (China Advisor), Madam Ying (China Advisor), Jürgen Andresen (Esko’s Vice President Flexo Business), Mr. Zhou (Chief, Shanghai Press & Publication Administration) and Mr. Qian (Vice Secretary General, The Flexographic Printing Branch of China Printing Technology Association). This event marked the official opening of Esko Shanghai.
The showcase of the new Esko office is a fully equipped demo center with 3 Kongsberg Digital Finishing Devices (VL1612, XP24 and i-XE10) and 2 CDI digital flexo imaging devices (CDI 2530 and CDI 4260). It also includes an equipped training center room that accommodates 6-9 trainees for in-house Esko workflow solution training.
Chris Miller said: “Esko Shanghai contains more than just a demo and training center. We also have a software Research and Development center that is responsible for developing new software functions for Greater China and for the rest of the world. This shows the Esko commitment to Greater China Customers, and is the correct evidence of the phrase “Think Global and Act Local”.
