More than 15 years of innovation in flexography printing
For decades Esko has been developing software and hardware innovations in flexographic printing. The company invented digital flexo in 1995 and has been leading the development ever since. Esko’s flexographic solutions are used in about 90% of high quality flexo production. Today, Esko is synonymous with excellent quality and consistency in all flexo printing applications: package printing.
Flexographic printing is used on almost any type of substrate, including plastic, metallic films, cellophane, and paper. Digital flexo makes use of a computer-guided laser to etch the image onto the polymer plates (such as Cyrel plates). Used with HD Flexo, CDIs turn polymer plates into high quality flexo printing plates. With HD Flexo, makeready time on the press is reduced and plates deliver greater run lengths. Fewer washing cycles make sure that the press is optimally used.
