Pre-press automation and set-up

AutoSet – Powered by Esko Automation Engine, AutoSet effectively eliminates job-setup tasks and quality hazards by connecting prepress to the inspection system in the press room, thus enabling true closed-loop color and content inspection.
Offline Setup – Standardizes inspection results and enhances quality consistency, with an offline job set-up management station that supports all production lines.
ProMIS – Supports simple, quick and secure setup processes by enabling bi-directional communication with MIS (ERP) systems in the print production environment.
Digimask – Deploys PDF die-cut line to mask-out irrelevant areas bordering the package.

Job verification tools

JobRef – Enables job verification at the setup stage by automatically comparing the job to the original, customer-approved digital PDF file.
MasterRef – Prevents production errors and reduces waste by enabling printers to save a master image of each job, which is later used to verify that repeat jobs are identical to the original.

Statistics and data management

PrintFlow Manager – Collects PrintFlow data from all AVT platforms, providing easy, remote access for managers directly from their desktop PCs, and enabling offline roll editing for better consistency and quality standardization.
PrintFlow Online – Accesses PrintFlow information during the print run, saving valuable postproduction editing time and enabling enhanced analysis for informed decision-making during and after the print production process.
Press Link – Records press events in the PrintFlow reporting database, for overall process enhancement, quality assurance and downstream cleaning.

Advanced applications

Holographic Support – Allows defect detection on advanced reflective applications, including holographic materials, reflective embossing and unique reflective and holographic print combinations.
Clear-on-Clear – Enables easy and accurate defect detection on clear labels and liners by deploying a unique backlight mechanism to illuminate transparent/semi-transparent web types.
Barcode & Variable Data Verification – Provides 100% verification and ANSI-based grading of 1D/2D barcodes and variable data parameters, including human-readable codes. Barcodes are inspected for both defects and readability verification; alerts on barcode quality, missing codes, duplications and sequence are generated.

Process management

RLT (Repeat Length Trend) – Performs continuous inline monitoring for the length of the repeat, enabling the press operator to ensure the web is always correctly aligned and prevent image distortions due to web shifts.
Continuous and Random Monitoring – Classifies and generates alerts on process defects and random defects in a clear and intuitive way, helping the operator quickly identify production issues and apply corrective actions.
Digimarc - Automated code verification and monitoring.
Low Contrast Monitoring - Performs continuous in-line monitoring for low contrast print anomalies such as hazing and repeated color irregularities for improved process control

Color measurement and management

IΔEal Performs inline Delta E color measurements anywhere on the image, during and in parallel to print inspection, and displays a graphic view of color differences, and reports statistics.
SpectraLab XF – An inline, ISO-standard, dual-beam spectrophotometer that measures color in dedicated color patches and in image areas, enabling absolute, accurate L*a*b*, density, and dot gain measurement, enhanced reporting, and real-time process control.
