EskoWorld 2020 cancelled due to concerns over coronavirus

EskoWorld 2020Esko, the global developer of integrated software and hardware solutions, has today (13 March) announced the cancellation of its EskoWorld 2020 event. The annual technology-focused event for packaging professionals had been scheduled to take place from April 28-30 in Dallas, Texas.

Melissa Plemen, Esko Director of Marketing North America, said: “The safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff is obviously our primary concern. With the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) cases around the globe changing daily, already resulting in the cancellation of other high profile events, we have moved to take this decisive action now.”

“More than 500 delegates and 70 expert speakers from countries around the world were due to attend this year’s EskoWorld. With efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus, including travel restrictions affecting much of Europe and other countries, not only was the safety of delegates a concern but we would also face the prospect of being unable to deliver the packed agenda of 140 workshops and new product demonstrations to our usual high standard.”

“We are deeply saddened that this step is necessary but know that it is in the best interest of our community. We will now turn our attention to supporting our customers throughout this challenging time and begin planning to make the next EskoWorld event the biggest and best yet.”
