Magical SmartMarks™

stepX allows you to create a plate design in any flavor of PDF format, including PDF for Adobe® Illustrator® 9 or higher. StepX' SmartMarks™ create marks that "automagically" adjust to the status of the job. SmartMarks™ adapt to changes to the sheet or board size, the plate size and number of inks in the job, and automatically create printing production controls like color bars, sheet corner marks, center marks, and trim marks. Because SmartMarks™ adjust to changes in the job, new plate designs for line extensions or last minute graphic changes are fast and easy with stepX.
