Eliminate press fingerprinting for spot colors
Sun Chemical’s SmartColour™ database contains over 225,000 ink color profiles. These are organized in libraries by printing technique and substrate. The SmartColour™ database can be fully integrated in Suite 10.

Protect brand colors
At any stage of the packaging preproduction process, SmartColour ink profiles can be used to preview spot inks correctly on screen and to produce color-accurate inkjet proofs.
Brand color accuracy is achieved without the expense of spot color press trials, and without erroneous color expectations.
How does it work?
The Color Engine (the color management tool in Suite 10) connects over internet to access the full spectral ink profile information directly from the SmartColour database of ink readings.
From the Color Engine Pilot, the operator selects the inks to be used in a job. He places them directly in an ink book. Once downloaded into the Color Engine database, the ink data is used in applications like PackEdge, ArtPro and FlexProof for a variety of tasks. The ink data will be used in ink mapping, to allow a design to be accurately previewed, to preview separations and overprints, and to produce a color accurate digital inkjet proof.
